Culinary tourism is gaining in popularity all the time and as the only culinary tourism company located in Thailand, Bangkok Dining Tours is establishing itself as the leader in bringing culinary tourists to Thailand, and, more specifically Bangkok.

I am Company Director Tom Aikins and I’ve been a long-time resident of Bangkok and a food writer the whole time. I have reviewed over 400 restaurants in Bangkok during my time here. Additionally, because of the contacts in the hotel and restaurant industries that I have built up over the years, I have gained invaluable inside knowledge of the Bangkok restaurant scene. It is this knowledge that is helping to make Bangkok Dining Tours so popular with culinary tourism enthusiasts from around the world.

The first Bangkok dining tour that is being offered by Bangkok Dining Tours is the Asian Cuisine Menu Tour. This tour covers 10 different restaurants featuring Asian cuisines (see the Our Restaurants page) and takes diners to dining spots that are in some cases well known and in other cases relatively obscure. All these restaurants, however, have one thing in common — great food at reasonable prices. Indeed, that is my primary objective in picking restaurants: is the food of superior quality and is the price right?

The Ambassador Hotel
The package that Bangkok Dining Tours is offering consists of a five-night stay in the Ambassador Hotel which is located in Soi 11 on Sukhumvit Road in the heart of the dining and entertainment district in Bangkok. The Ambassador is a newly refurbished four-star hotel with complete facilities in one of the most convenient locations in Bangkok. I have known this hotel for many years and was actually a member of the health club for several years (which is quite good, by the way, and will be useful to you during your stay here). It’s a two minute walk away from the Skytrain, one of Bangkok’s mass transit train systems and close to numerous other shopping, dining and entertainment outlets. And, of course, if you want to extend your stay more than five nights then you’ll receive the same low rate per night that Bangkok Dining Tours receives.

During your stay I will take you to 10 restaurants starting with a Sunday night dinner and ending with a Friday afternoon lunch. Monday through Thursday we’ll be visiting restaurants for lunch and dinner. The schedule is on the Our Restaurants page as well. And, here to the right on our home page you can watch videos of each of the restaurants where I show a preview of some of the menu items that they will be serving as part of the tour.

The cost of the tour is US $775 and this includes your basic room charge based on double occupancy (single occupancy rates available on request), transfers from the airport to the hotel and back, all transportation to the restaurants and all meals. The meals include water and soft drinks. Other beverages will be billed to you individually. Click here to sign up for the tour now.
